I had a list of subjects that I intended to turn into Livejournal entries, but in the process of converting my office space into a full-scale ROCK-A-TORIUM, I seem to have misplaced it. By "misplaced," I mean "thrown away." During the course of my extensive remodeling, I ended up with a HUGE PILE of USELESS BULLSHIT in the middle of the floor... Broken action figures, magazine clippings, used syringes, etc. Being the pack rat that I am, I sat in my chair for hours, staring at the pile, burning up fromt he inside out about whether or not to keep it all. After a prolonged existential debate (and seven or eight cocktails), I stuffed it all into a plastic bag and took it out to the trash. All of it but THIS LAMP:

which, as you can see, is an irreplaceable work of ART.

I am currently enjoying my first free day after a nearly a straight week of double shifts. I plan on spending the afternoon in as productive a manner as possible: pounding screwdrivers, playing with my genitals, and howling into our four-track recorder. If I can manage to accomplish these things without interruption, it will be nothing short of MAGIC.

For lack of anything else to say, here's a picture of me having a REALLY GREAT HAIR DAY:

And here's a pic of our progress on the BAND ROOM... The still photo function on my camcorder isn't very sharp, but you get the idea:

This is my daughter, Zoe, during our most recent visit to her home in Pratt. I found out while I was there that some neighborhood psycho MURDERED her pet dachsund... He kicked it to death for chasing a stray cat through his yard, then smashed its body against the curb. The judge made him pay out a donation to the humane society, but as far as I know, he avoided jail time, which means he's still walking the streets of Pratt, looking for PETS to KILL. Just goes to show you how valuable life is in small-town Kansas, hmmm?

Finally, for the ladies,a little slice of the SWAYZE ACTION:

The text accompanying this drawing (which is available for purchase at http://www.encorecelebrities.com/patrick_swayze.asp) reads: "Patrick Swayze will forever be in the hearts of movie fans and girls of all age with his performances in Dirty Dancing and the movie Ghost. This beautiful portrait captures the heart of this dashing and dancing leading man." Awesome.
